Show us Your True Shelf

This is a new segment, highlighting the darkest secrets of your blogging and reading habits for the world to see. It is also a great way to promote yourself. If you want to take part, flick me an email on nzproof [at] gmail.com and let me know your blog name.

Today, I have Taylor from The Bags Under My Eyes Are Chanel on the blog. Go check out her site – I love the idea behind it. Even the name really appeals to me!

Can you describe your blog in 20 words or less?

A lifestyle blog centered around scoliosis awareness and support.

How do you measure success in a blog?

For me, by having a great community and resources to help young women navigate life with chronic pain.

Where do you find information about blogging?

Mostly from Pinterest and other blogs! I sign up for as many free ecourses as I can find.

Who is your go-to author on a bad day?

Man! That is tough. In general, I would say anything that is historic fiction or a little spooky.

Which book would you love to read but haven’t got around to it yet?

More self-help books like “Girl, Wash Your Face”!

What would make you DNF a book? (Did Not Finish)?

I wouldn’t finish a book if I have zero emotional connection to the plot or to the characters. Usually, I put a book down if it is too slow moving and descriptive.

Thanks, Taylor. I have been meaning to read Girl, Wash your Face for ages! And I have heaps of recommendations for historical fiction for you. I also have a Facebook book group for voracious readers, Have Books Will Travel.

This is the first in the series. Other bloggers, please let me know if you wish to take part and I’ll send a link to the Google form.
