Top 3 December Blog Delights

Greetings of the season to you all!

Each month, around the 20th, I collate the best of the blogs in my WordPress community.

I am so happy about all the great writerly types I’ve met through blogging. There are finite words in the universe but endless ways to arrange them, so writers should be supporting each other instead of competing.

The Top of the Month

I read a lot of blogs and sometimes, an article or story sticks out for it’s truth. We all work so hard on our content. But I can’t read every single post. If I haven’t featured you, and you’d like me to, comment below with your best post.

Julie de Rohan talks about being mindful in the festive season and choosing your company and your portion sizes wisely in this article.

Krysta gives her opinion on why negative reviews are the highest form of respect for an author. I am the first to support other writers, but there does need to be a certain trust with reviews. And this stems from honesty on the reviewer’s part.

We have a simple guide from Kristy at Earth Savvy to a Christmas where the idea is to buy nothing! It is pretty great goal to aspire to, and sounds popular with the whole family too.

Pop over and check them out!

I know, I am publishing this a little early. This is to give me some time to hide in the bathroom with chocolate and wine do some last-minute organization. I am planning a social media hiatus in the new year, a complete cut-off from the online world. So I will be scheduling posts early as long as I’m organized enough!

Have you done a social media hiatus? How long for? How am I actually going to do this as a blogger?

  1. I’ll be taking a little time off in January-February, too. I suspect a lot of new bloggers get started around then, so there will be some fresh material out there for people to peruse! Have a Happy New Year!

  2. True, lots of resolutions maybe. Are you going to schedule posts or just leave your blog alone?

  3. I have taken a few hiatuses not by will…but because life had other plans… I’ve been trying to come back but I keep getting caught up…
